It started in 2018...
In 2001, The St. John Bosco Parish & Center for Young Workers was built along the boundary of Sta. Rosa, Laguna and Silang, Cavite. Formerly headed by the late parish priest, Fr. Ting Miciano, SDB, the church remains under the Diocese of San Pablo, Laguna. Following the teachings of St. John Bosco, who was dubbed Father and Teacher of the Youth, the parish regularly empowers young workers and the youth in general.
In 2018, the Parish Liturgical Music Ministry was founded, an organization that united the pioneering choir groups into one collective. Over the last few years, the PLMM grew with twelve choir groups that eventually comprised the Grand Choir. These choirs are volunteers who regularly devote their time to singing for the scheduled services of the church– believers of all ages who offered their musical talents to serve the Lord.
In recent years, the PLMM briefly introduced the St. John Bosco Chamber Orchestra in 2025 to usher in St. John Bosco’s 210th year of nativity and the Parish’ 25th Jubilee year anniversary.
To this day, the PLMM remains active and committed to their devotion in serving their community and their unwavering faith in God through music.
