Coro Seraphico
History
The Coro Seraphico is a Roman Catholic liturgical choir serving in St. John Bosco Parish & Center for Young Workers in Sta Rosa City, Laguna. They serve every Sunday at 11:00 A.M.
The group has started as part of the Oratorian volunteers when Jorge Disonglo, Azyryn Disonglo and Mark Abundo then joined the organization to aid in serving for the Eucharistic Celebration on February 2022. The latter were all employees of The Medical City that shared a common goal of organizing a S.A.T.B. choral out of the kids of the oratory. Eventually after series of practices and Sunday services, a small group of Oratorian kids showed interest on the chorale side. They continued serving on the liturgy and also sing secular songs. The group was named "KISLAP CHORALE" as a last-minute idea when they performed on an intermission number during the feast of St. John Bosco last January 2023. The Kislap group then joined the formation of the grand chorale during Lent period of 2023 and has been an active group member since then. The need for a formal name change was raised which led to renaming the group as "CORO SERAPHICO." "CORO SERAPHICO" is inspired by the word Seraphim, which are the highest choir of the angelic hierarchy. Seraphim are the caretakers of God's throne, continuously singing "Holy, Holy, Holy".
"Coro Seraphico" is joined by "The Medical City South Luzon Singing Ambassadors" to give more power to the chosen repertoire. TMCSL SA is the official singing group of TMC with Mark Abundo as choir master as well. TMC always partners with SJBP when it comes to religous and liturgical affairs which makes TMC a part of SJBP family.
