Introducing the St. John Bosco Chamber Orchestra!
by Matty Vila
In addition to our roster of choirs in the PLMM, our parish now has its very own chamber orchestra! With the purpose of serving the Lord through orchestral sounds, original compositions, and uplifting the community’s talents, the group aims to provide their musical support in high masses and events within the parish. With thirty-two pioneer members, the orchestra is currently under the direction of Charles Gabriel de Castro (serving as the Musical Director and Principal Conductor) and Mark Anthony Abundo (Asst. MD and Asst. PC).
In preparation for the parish’ 25th year anniversary and St. John Bosco’s 210th year of nativity, the SJBCO is still looking for more instrumentalists. Violinists, violists, cellists, clarinetist, flutists, and all kinds of musicians are invited to be a part of the ensemble. For more details, you may check out their facebook page here.
Don’t have an instrument but a willingness to serve? You may still contact Charles Gabriel de Castro at 0917 677 0138.
